QUETTA: Security forces responded swiftly to the last night’s attack wherein terrorists carried out cowardly attacks at several places in Balochistan, and killed 12 terrorists, local media reported on Monday.
According to local media, security forces and law enforcement agencies are responding effectively to the terrorist attacks and so far, 12 terrorists have been killed, and many have been wounded. The local media cited security sources as saying that the operation of the forces will continue until the terrorists are eliminated.
Earlier, Police officials said that terrorists stopped passenger buses and killed 22 people in the firing incident in Radashim of Musa Khel area of Balochistan, local media reported. A top police official told a local news channel that the firing incident took place at highway near Musa Khel area of Balochistan.
Reports said that a heavy contingent of Levies and police rushed to the spot after the incident. Local officials said that the dead bodies of the passengers are being shifted to the hospital. Police said that they have started investigation after the firing incident.
Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly denounced the terrorist attack on a passenger bus in Musakhel area of Balochistan.
Expressing grief and deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the despicable incident, the President and Prime Minister prayed for the departed souls and condoled with the bereaved families.
In a statement, President Zardari said the brutal killing of innocent people is the killing of the entire humanity. The President said that the terrorists are the enemies of Pakistan and humanity. He said said those involved in the killing of innocent people must be brought to justice.
On other the hand, Pakistan’s Prime Minister directed the local administration to provide full cooperation to the bereaved families and provide immediate medical help to the injured people.
He also directed the law enforcement agencies to immediately probe the incident. The terrorists responsible for this incident will be severely punished, he added. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said any kind of terrorism is not acceptable in Pakistan.
Both the President and the Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has strongly condemned the terrorist attack and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families. The Chief Minister said that terrorists have targeted innocent people near Musa Khel, Balochistan. He said “Terrorists and facilitators will not be able to escape from the terrible end,”.
