ISLAMABAD: Ministry of education told the national assembly on Thursday that currently, 1,21,596 students are studying on scholarships under various programmes of the Higher Education Commission.
In a written reply, Higher Education Commission (HEC) said 2,538 foreigners are among the students studying on scholarships. According to the details, 57,000 students are from Punjab, 19,756 from KP, 18,439 from Sindh, 7928 from Balochistan, 6,416 from Azad Kashmir, 4,792 from Islamabad are studying under the scholarship schemes.
