ISLAMABAD: At least 13 people, including children, were killed after a mini truck carrying a family veered off the road and plunged into a ravine in the Punj Pir area of Khushab on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122, the deceased were all members of the same family and were on their way from Bannu to Wadisoon in Khushab when the tragic incident occurred.
Talking about the incident, eyewitnesses stated that the incident occurred when the driver took a sharp turn at high speed, skidded off the vehicle from the road and plummet into the ravine, causing the heartbreaking loss of lives, including five innocent children.
Soon after the incident, rescue teams rushed to the scene. Till the last reports, efforts were underway to recover the deceased and immediately provide medical assistance to the injured, whereas both the deceased and the injured were being transported to the THQ Hospital.
