LAHORE: The Punjab Health Department, on Thursday, reported 150 new dengue cases across the province.
The latest data shows that Rawalpindi had 131 cases, Lahore 6, Attock and Chakwal each had 3, and Hafizabad reported 2 cases. Faisalabad, Mianwali, Sialkot, Sahiwal, and Bahawalnagar each recorded 1 case.
In the past week, Punjab has identified 933 new cases, bringing the total for 2024 to 5,594. In response, the health department reassured the public that sufficient resources, including medicine, are available in public hospitals.
Health officials have issued an advisory highlighting the importance of keeping environments clean and dry to reduce the spread of the virus. Residents are encouraged to cooperate with health teams actively working in affected areas.
