ISLAMABAD: The £190 million case verdict involving Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, has been postponed for the third time, local media reported on Monday.
According to The News, accountability court Judge Nasir Javed expressed anger over the no-show of the accused, adding that he had been present at the court since 8:30am, leading to the postponement of the decision.

Local media reported that the court will announce the decision on 17 January. This is the third time the announcement of the decision has been deferred. Earlier, the accountability court announced the new decision date as 13 January, citing the leave of Judge Javed. It was supposed to be announced on December 23 but was delayed to January 6.
Local media cited the NAB officials as saying that the former prime minister and his wife received land worth billions of rupees intended for the construction of an educational institute.
The accountability watchdog arrested the PTI founder on November 13 last year in connection with the said case, Geo News reported. NAB then interrogated Khan and Bushra for 17 days in the Adiala Jail.
