ISLAMABAD: The 19th Annual Cholistan Jeep Rally is scheduled to start on Tuesday at the historic Dravidian Fort, drawing participants from across the country.
Talking to media, the Deputy Commissioner of Bahawalpur said that the rally will be held from February 20 to 25, anticipating over 100 contesters.
He added the rally will feature additional attractions such as camel races, cultural performances, fireworks, and exhibitions spanning the five-day celebration.
This event will not only serve as an exhilarating sports competition but also serve as a platform to showcase the rich cultural heritage and historical significance of South Punjab. With a challenging 500 km route traversing the desert terrain, the rally encompasses various vehicle categories, attracting drivers eager for the desert adventure.
Security arrangements are being finalized to ensure the safety of participants and visitors. The week-long festivities will feature cultural events, with expectations of drawing a large number of visitors from nationwide.
The festivities will commence with participant registration, vehicle inspections, technical examinations, and medical checkups for all drivers, setting the stage for an exciting and culturally enriching experience.
