JEDDAH: King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has announced that thirty items are prohibited from being carried in luggage of flight passengers, Arab media reported on Friday. Authorities said that such items would be confiscated from the passengers.
30 Hazardous Goods Prohibited from Carrying in Air Stuff
The airport asked the departing Hajj pilgrims not to carry these dangerous items in their luggage.
These products also include compressed gases, knives, blades, toxic liquids, skateboards, baseball bats, explosives and crackers. Officials further said that the prohibited goods also include magnetic materials, firearms, radioactive, corrosive materials, nail clippers, equipment, meat cleavers, shears, and ammunition.
The list of dangerous items that are prohibited from being transported in all stuff included fourteen products like oxidants, radioactive materials, organic peroxides, disabling devices, electric shock devices, liquid oxygen devices, automatic skateboards, in addition to toxic materials that transmit matches, infection, flammable liquids and lighters.
The airport officials said that these thirty prohibited goods would be confiscated and the passengers were asked to contact their respective airlines for more information and details in this regard.
