ISLAMABAD: Sindh Education and Literacy Department on Thursday handed over the final list of the University of Sindh, Jamshoro’s students to the Students Financial Aid Office, to disburse scholarship cheques under the Sindh Educational Endowment Fund (SEFF).
Around 700 university students were interviewed, out of which 300 candidates have been selected for the scholarship program, the University of Sindh, Jamshoro said in a statement.
500 students next year
On the special request by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, the selection committee assured him that they would try to increase the number to 500 students next year.
A spokesman of the university said that University of Sindh used to get only fifty scholarships under the program, but after continuous efforts by the VC, now the number has increased to 300.
