TEHRAN: A shooting Sunday at a shrine in Iran killed four people, state-run media reported. According to Iranian official news agency, “Four persons have been killed so far after a terrorist attack by two gunmen on the holy shrine of Shah Cheragh in Shiraz”,. One of the suspected attackers was captured while the other escaped, Tasnim news agency stated.

AFP reported that a mass shooting in October at the shrine left thirteen persons dead and 30 injured, in an assault later claimed by Daesh militant group. Iran also hanged two persons in public over the October assault, the judiciary’s Mizan website reported. In November, Tehran said that 26 people had been apprehended in connection with the attack in Iran.
