Since the onset of the war, more than 43,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed due to the intense Israeli military operations, which have decimated large areas of Gaza. In a single day, Israeli airstrikes claimed at least 46 additional Palestinian lives, predominantly in northern Gaza, where an attack on a hospital caused significant damage to medical supplies and operations. The Israeli military has accused Hamas of using the Kamal Adwan Hospital for military purposes, a claim that Hamas and health officials vehemently deny.

In light of these developments, the health ministry in Gaza has called upon international organizations to safeguard hospitals and medical personnel from the violence that has engulfed the region. Medical charity Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has also raised alarms over the safety of its staff, citing the detention of a doctor amid the chaos. The humanitarian crisis continues to worsen as violence escalates, prompting urgent calls for intervention and protection of civilians.
