NUKUALOFA: A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck south of Tonga on Monday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
The earthquake struck at a depth of 2 km, the EMSC added. It came hours following a 5.7 magnitude earthquake in the same region. Earlier, the EMSC said the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.6, with a depth of 8 km.
