GAZA: Israeli forces have intensified their bombardment around two hospitals in the main southern city of Khan Younis in Gaza Strip.

Residents report that the city is now surrounded by Israeli armored forces, facing continuous aerial and ground attacks. At least 50 Palestinians, including two children, were killed in Khan Younis within the past 24 hours.

Gaza health officials said that Israeli tanks have surrounded and shelled targets around the city’s two main operational hospitals, Nasser and Al-Amal.  The bombing has trapped medical teams, patients, and displaced individuals seeking shelter inside or nearby.

The majority of Gaza’s 2.3 million population is now concentrated in Khan Younis and nearby towns due to displacement caused by Israel’s ongoing military operations.

The siege on Khan Younis’ main hospitals by Israeli forces, who claim these facilities are used by Hamas militants for attacks (denied by both Hamas and hospital staff), has hindered rescue efforts for the wounded and deceased. The relentless attacks have forced displaced people to search for diminishing safe shelters.

Residents reported that Israeli evacuation warnings came after the operation had commenced, leaving the main road out of Khan Younis already closed.

The United Nations reported that Israeli tanks struck a large UN compound in Gaza sheltering displaced Palestinians, killing at least nine people and wounding 75.

Since the start of the conflict, more than 25,700 Palestinians, mostly children and women, have been killed in Israel ground, and air offensive in Gaza.

The densely populated and impoverished enclave has seen extensive destruction from Israeli bombings.
