6 Killed, 12 Injured in Road Accident near Pakistan’s Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, Pakistan: At least six people were killed and 12 others sustained serious injuries in an accident on the Indus Highway near Khanote on Friday.

According to police and rescue officials, the incident occurred when a passenger van collided with a truck and a car on the Indus Highway near the Khanote village in the Jamshoro district.

The deceased include Muqadas wife of Rajab Noohani, Riaz son of Allah Bachayo Nizamani, three-year-old Saleem son of Rajab Ali Noohani and 3 unknowns. Syed Akram Ali, Munir Laghari, Niaz Hussain Junejo, Allah Dino Korejo, Muhammad Rashid, Zaheer Noohani, Muhammad Ali Khaskheli, Niaz Noohani, Syed Zain, Hayataan, Sanaullah Jamali and others were among those injured.

The wounded and deceased were evacuated from the vehicles with the help of locals from nearby villages and were shifted to LUH Jamshoro and Hyderabad. The condition of more than five injured individuals was reported to be critical. —APP
