ISLAMABAD: Police officials in the US state of California have said that gunmen opened fire at a house during the early hours of Monday. In the attack, a six-month-old baby along with five others was killed. The baby’s teenage mother was also among the dead.
Tulare County’s Sheriff Mike Boudreaux while speaking to reporters said the incident was a grisly crime. He suggested that was a “targeted” attack that may be linked to drug and gang violence.
According to police, the home was attacked around 330 am and two gunmen were believed to have been involved in the attack. During the incident, the gunmen fired multiple shots.

A neighbor called the police, who arrived seven minutes later to find dead and dying people both inside and outside the home.
Two people were unhurt during the assault as they hid inside the building, however, a number of the wounded were given emergency medical treatment by first responders.
Police believe California shooting linked to gang, drug violence
Sheriff Bodreaux added that only a week ago police officials carried out search warrants linked to narcotics at the property. Thus, they believed the incident was related to drug and gang violence with those at the crime scene likely to have gang associations.
Tulare is a town that is roughly halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, and has around 70,000 inhabitants.
