PESHAWAR: During the five days of Eid, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa witnessed a significant influx of local tourists, with approximately 600,000 individuals visited various tourist destinations. This was stated by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority in a statement on Monday.
The report indicated that Galliyat attracted 237,000 tourists, Malam Jabba saw 151,900 visitors, Kumrat Valley welcomed 92,000 tourists, and Naran and Kaghan received 77,000 travelers. Additionally, over 24,000 tourists chose Chitral to spend their Eid holidays.
Muhammad Saad, the spokesperson of the Tourism Authority, highlighted that throughout the Eid holidays, the tourism police and helpline 1422 remained operational 24/7, ensuring the provision of all necessary facilities to the tourists.
