GAZA STRIP: Despite the United Nations (UN) Security Council’s call for a ceasefire, Israeli forces have intensified their bombing campaigns in Palestinian territories, resulting in the deaths of at least 76 Palestinians in the last 24 hours, reported the Gaza health ministry.

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera reported Israeli shelling claimed the lives of two Palestinians near the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. This incident follows another attack where Israeli force s killed one person and injured several others in the vicinity of the Nuseirat refugee camp, also located in central Gaza, as reported by the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The Palestinian health ministry released a statement on Wednesday, revealing that over five months of Israeli bombings have resulted in the deaths of at least 32,490 people, mostly women and children, in the territory. Moreover, the statement stated that 74,889 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip since the conflict began on October 7.

In a tragic development, 27 individuals in Gaza, including 23 children, have succumbed to starvation due to what international organizations describe as Israel’s use of hunger as a weapon of war.

Dr. Omar Abdel-Mannan, a British-Egyptian pediatrician and neurologist who has provided voluntary medical assistance in Gaza, described starvation as a cruel and slow death, where individuals gradually waste away due to lack of sustenance.
