93,000 Pilgrims Receive Care During Hajj Season: Saudi Health Ministry

MAKKAH: The Saudi Health Ministry has been providing comprehensive care for pilgrims during the Hajj season, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

From the first day of Dhu Al-Qi’dah until the eighth day of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1445 AH, around 93,000 pilgrims have received medical assistance at healthcare centers.

The health ministry reported that assistance was offered at medical and specialized clinics, pharmacies, kidney dialysis centers, intensive care units, and isolation units.

During this period, the ministry has performed 19 open-heart surgeries, 218 cardiac catheterizations, and 676 kidney dialysis treatments.

Furthermore, 2,022 pilgrims were admitted to hospitals and medical centers for necessary care.

The ministry remains committed to providing top-notch healthcare services to all pilgrims.

With dedicated teams of medical and administrative professionals, well-equipped facilities, and health centers spread across Makkah, Madinah, and other sacred sites, the safety and well-being of pilgrims are assured throughout the entirety of the Hajj season.
