97 Hindu Pilgrims Arrive Via Wagah Border

LAHORE: To participate in the 314th birth anniversary celebrations of Shiv Avtari Satguru Saint

Swami Shadaram Sahib, around 97 Hindu pilgrims (yatrees) from India arrived here on Tuesday through the Wagah Border.

The pilgrims were warmly welcomed by Evacuee Trust Property Board officials along with a local Hindu leader Kishan Sharma.

The arrangements undertaken by the government, the ETPB and other departments for the yatrees were appreciated by the group’s leader Yudhister.

He said the Hindu pilgrims were very happy with their visit.

Pilgrims left for Shadani Darbar Hayat Pitafi

Later, under strict security, the pilgrims left for Shadani Darbar Hayat Pitafi. At the Shadani Darbar on November 23 to 24 ceremonies will be held.

The yatrees will return to India after completing their 12-day visit on December 3.

Visits to Ghotki, Sukkur, Mathelo, Mirpur Mathelo, Daharki and Nankana Sahib are parts of their schedule along with a night stay at Khanpur Maher. – APP
