RIYADH: Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim has met with a group of senior scholars and clerics from the Horn of Africa during his visit to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, reported Arab media on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the MWL chief stressed the importance of sticking to Islamic values and promoting joint Islamic action, noting the vital role of scholars play in promoting coexistence and mutual respect.

Al-Issa also Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars emphasized the importance of strengthening Islamic work with the national system, including humanitarian work that presents a true picture of Islam.

During his visit, the MWL chief was given a briefing on the efforts and programs of a number of local and international humanitarian organizations that are collaborating with MWL. They provide help and care to refugees, the displaced and the needy people.
The MWL chief reaffirmed the commitment of the league to supporting charity work and humanitarian programs of the aid organizations.
Al-Issa also praised workers associated with charity organizations and wished them success.
