ICT Admin Refuses To Allow PTI To Hold Rally in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cannot be allowed to hold a public rally or a sit-in in the federal capital.

In a miscellaneous application submitted to the Islamabad High Court through the Islamabad Advocate General, the ICT administration has requested the court to dismiss the petition filed by the PTI, seeking court directives for allowing it to hold the public rally and the sit-in.

The ICT administration said in the petition that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan was facing threats to his life and his party could not be allowed to hold the public rally. The ICT administration said in the petition that Imran Khan came under attacked in Wazirabad and the assailant has also been arrested, which clearly showed that there were serious threats to his life. Referring to the statements of PTI leaders, the ICT administration said that a minister of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has also announced to bring weapons to Islamabad during the party’s planned rally and the statements of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry to avenge the attack were also on record.
