KABUL: Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, held crucial discussions with representatives from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of Saudi Arabia during the Moscow Format meeting in Russia. The talks centered on strengthening bilateral relations and fostering cooperation between Afghanistan and the respective countries.
In a meeting with the Special Representative of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Muttaqi commended Kyrgyzstan’s supportive stance on Afghanistan in various regional and international forums, including the Moscow Format. The two diplomats explored avenues to expand their countries’ ties, emphasizing mutual understanding and collaboration.
Moscow Format Meeting on Afghanistan
Furthermore, Muttaqi engaged with Prince Jael Bin Turki Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s representative in the Moscow Format. The discussions revolved around enhancing bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. The two sides also discussed plans for upcoming meetings between Afghan officials and Saudi counterparts, as well as Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian aid initiatives for Afghanistan.
