ISLAMABAD: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has initiated another project to distribute Non-Food Items (NFIs) and winter kits in Pakistan to assist those affected by recent floods.
This project will be implemented in four phases, with over 50,000 kits to be distributed, including 25,000 shelter NFIs and 25,000 winter kits. KSRelief is collaborating with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on this effort, and it will span across Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, expressed gratitude to the Saudi Ambassador for this generous donation. He emphasized the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, stating, “We are not like brothers; we are brothers.”
Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, highlighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is gifting fifty thousand kits to Pakistan. These winter aid packages will be distributed in all provinces of Pakistan in four phases. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to standing by Pakistan and strengthening their brotherly relations.
KSRelief Distributes 25,000 Winter Kits in Initial Phase
In the initial phase, KSRelief distributed 25,000 winter kits across three provinces, strategically allocating them to areas in need. The kits include polyester quilts, warm shawls for men and women, and winter clothing to provide warmth during the cold season.
This transparent and collaborative effort involves key stakeholders such as NDMA, UN missions, and provincial government authorities, with the aim of benefiting more than 350,000 individuals in need.
