RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister for Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Saturday said that the Kingdom completely rejected the targeting of innocent civilians “in any way,” in Gaza, according to Saudi Foreign Ministry Statement.

According to Saudigazette, Saudi Minister for Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan conducted a phone call with his US counterpart, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and discussed the situation in Gaza.

During the call, the two sides discussed situation in Gaza and its surroundings, emphasizing the immediate need for an urgent de-escalation, the Foreign Ministry said.
He underscored the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s rejection of targeting innocent civilian population in any form and the necessity of respecting global humanitarian law by all sides involved. The Minister for Foreign Affairs emphasized the imperative of intensive efforts to calm the current situation and avert further violence.
Similarly, the Saudi Minister for Foreign Affairs also received a telephone call on Saturday from the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, Arab media reported. The talks between the two sides focused on de-escalation in Gaza and the safety of innocent civilian population. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) asked the EU to act quickly and increase efforts to halt further escalation.

The Minister also engaged in separate telephone talks with his Arab counterparts in Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt exploring means to increase joint efforts to stop the escalation.
