TEHRAN: In a recent development, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian expressed his support for the Palestinian Resistance movement and condemned the Israeli regime’s continuous crimes against the Palestinian people.

During a phone call with Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, the diplomats discussed the latest situation in the occupied territories and emphasized the need to respect the rights of Palestinians.

Amir Abdollahian attributed the ongoing military operation launched by Hamas against Israel to the Zionist regime’s relentless oppression of the Palestinian population. He called on all Muslim countries to unite in support of the holy occupied city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the oppressed Palestinian nation.

The conflict, marked by Hamas rocket attacks and Israeli airstrikes, has resulted in significant casualties on both sides. Israeli officials report over 300 deaths and more than 1,800 injuries, while in the Gaza Strip alone, at least 250 Palestinians have been martyred and over 1,700 wounded.

Iran has been a vocal supporter of the Palestinian cause and has described Israel’s actions as a continuation of its long history of assassinations, massacres, torture, and violence against Palestinian civilians, including women and children. Iranian officials argue that the Israeli regime has been grappling with an identity crisis, intertwined with genocide, plunder, forced displacement, and other inhumane actions, for over 70 years.

Iran sees the ongoing military operation, known as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, as a turning point in the Palestinian resistance against the Zionist regime. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has declared that the days of the Israeli regime are numbered. He expressed optimism about the resilience of the Palestinian youth and the anti-oppression movement.

Khamenei believes that the Palestinian movement is more vibrant and prepared than ever before to challenge the Israeli regime’s continued oppression. He likened the Zionist regime to a cancer that will be eradicated by the Palestinian people and resistance forces in the region.

Earlier this year, Ayatollah Khamenei suggested that the internal crises within the Israeli regime were accelerating its collapse, possibly even before the previously estimated 25-year deadline. He pointed to political instability, frequent changes in leadership, party coalitions breaking down, and widespread protests within Israel as signs of its weakening.

The Supreme Leader emphasized that the warnings from Israeli officials about the regime’s impending collapse were further indicators of its deteriorating state.

Reports from Israeli media indicate that a significant number of people are seeking an escape route from the occupied territories amid the deepening political and existential crisis facing the Israeli regime under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The situation in the region remains tense, with international actors closely monitoring developments and advocating for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. As the Palestinian Resistance continues to resist Israeli aggression, the world watches with concern, hoping for a lasting solution that respects the rights and aspirations of all parties involved.
