ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Advisor on Human Rights, Mushaal Mullick, has urged the United Nations (UN) to take immediate action to address the dire situations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine, with the aim of establishing lasting peace in the region.

She emphasized the necessity for the international community to acknowledge the distressing circumstances faced by Kashmiris and Palestinians, who are victims of the aggression of India and Israel. Mushaal made this demand during an interview with a private news channel.

Mushaal stressed that the people of Gaza and Kashmir deserve their rightful freedom, and she called upon the global community to assist the Palestinian people during these challenging times.

India’s Oppressive Policies in Occupied Kashmir

Furthermore, she highlighted India’s oppressive policies, particularly since August 2019, as blatant attempts to erase the original and fundamental identity of Kashmiris. She underscored that Muslims in both Palestine and Kashmir are enduring harsh treatment, including the desecration of mosques and violence against innocent individuals.

Mushaal reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Palestinians and Kashmiris while urging an immediate cessation of violence and oppression by Israeli and Indian occupation forces.

She pointed out that the entire Muslim Ummah is closely observing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, with the hope that it will continue to play a prominent role in advocating for the rights of oppressed Muslims in Palestine and occupied Kashmir.

Mushaal emphasized that global peace hinges on the resolution of these longstanding conflicts, calling for pressure on India and Israel to respect human rights in the occupied territories.
