RIYADH: The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Tuesday in Riyadh, discussed the content of talks held over the phone by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman with presidents of Palestine, Egypt, and the Jordanian king.
During the talks, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman stressed that Saudi Arabia continues to exert efforts and to engage with global and regional parties to halt the ongoing escalation and prevent it from spreading in the region, Saudi Press Agency reported.
He said that Riyadh stands by the Palestinian people in the pursuit of their legitimate rights, achieving a just and lasting peace, and attaining aspirations.
The Cabinet was briefed on the content of the recent discussions the Crown Prince held with the leaders of several countries concerning relations with these countries and ways to strengthen them.
Minister of Media Salman Bin Yousef Al-Dosari said that the Cabinet reviewed the outcome of Saudi Arabia’s participation in several regional and international meetings, as per the Kingdom’s keenness to continue strengthening communication with nations of the region and the world, as well as to coordinate action to achieve growth and prosperity.
Cabinet Discusses Outcome of OPEC Plus Meeting
The Cabinet discussed the outcome of the OPEC Plus meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, reiterating Saudi Arabia’s support for the efforts aimed at stabilizing and balancing oil markets and accelerating the growth rates of the world economy.
The Cabinet welcomed the nations and international organizations participating in the MENA Climate Week 2023, being hosted by Saudi Arabia, which is making efforts to protect the environment, increase the use of renewable energy sources, reduce carbon emissions, and achieve sustainable development.
The Cabinet congratulated the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on opening its Nuclear Security Training and Demonstration Centre in Seibersdorf, Austria, which Saudi Arabia proposed and funded as part of its efforts to strengthen global nuclear security and combat nuclear terrorism.
