ISLAMABAD: The “Knock the Door,” a campaign by Islamabad police to ensure the comprehensive registration of tenants and employees, is underway successfully.

According to a Police department spokesman, the campaign has gained colossal momentum as the teams from the Islamabad Capital Police have initiated door-to-door visits to emphasize the importance of registering domestic workers and tenants.

As part of this initiative, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Islamabad has already collected data on 171 household employees from 340 households in the Bhara Kahu.

This campaign’s primary goal is to strengthen the law and order situation within the federal capital and proactively prevent potential adverse incidents.

Registration of household employees and tenants serves a dual purpose: facilitating effective surveillance of potential wrongdoers. It acts as a deterrent to individuals engaged in suspicious activities.

Citizens have been directed to take precautionary measures and verify the identity of everyone, mainly when someone in civilian dress visits their residence for data collection.

The presence of unregistered employees and tenants can lead to significant security incidents, such as theft and robbery, as these individuals may attempt to blend in as ordinary citizens.

Police committed to create safe environment

The spokesperson stressed that the Islamabad Capital Police are fully committed to using all available resources to create a safe and secure environment for the residents of the federal capital, reaffirming their unwavering dedication to the well-being and protection of the local community. —APP
