More Than 600 Children Killed in Gaza: Health Ministry

GAZA: The Palestinian territory’s Health Ministry on Friday said that Israeli strikes on Gaza have killed 614 children.

It said that 370 women are also among those killed in the seven days of Israeli strikes, said the Hamas-run health ministry. It further added that 7,696 people have been wounded so far.

The ministry said Israeli attacks on Gaza strip have killed at least 1,900 people.

Demanding an immediate end to Israeli bombing it said the 2,000 children and 1,400 women are among the injured.

The statement added Israeli army struck Gaza’s Al-Durra Children’s Hospital with white phosphorus bombs.

Meanwhile the UN Security Council has held a closed-door session to discuss the Israel-Palestine war as Palestinians started evacuating northern Gaza following Israeli military threats.

Efforts stressed to ensure humanitarian access to Gaza

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has asked all parties to do their utmost to ensure humanitarian access to the besieged Gaza.

US President Joe Biden has already expressed his support for Israel saying it is also a priority for him to urgently address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The Palestinian envoy to the United Nations has urged the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to do more to end crime against humanity by Israel in Gaza.

Tensions have escalated across the Middle East, triggering protests in support of the Palestinians.
