ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry has said that the party will resume its long march on Wednesday (November 9) from Wazirabad, reversing an earlier decision.

Chaudhry made the announcement via a tweet.

Earlier on Sunday, PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan announced that the party’s long march will resume on Tuesday from Wazirabad, adding that he will join the convoy from Rawalpindi.

Meanwhile, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the party would stage a peaceful demonstration outside the Governor House later today.

Qureshi added that Imran Khan would address the march and protests through a video link as he was unable to walk

PTI paused its long march on November 3 after a gunfire attack on the party’s convoy in Wazirabad claimed one life and left at least 14 injured, including party chairman Imran Khan.

The PTI chief was heading the “Haqiqi Azadi March” from Lahore to the federal capital Islamabad to demand snap elections.
