Amnesty International (AI) called on France to “protect and facilitate the rights” of people to express their opinion, in this example to demonstrate support for the Palestinians.

Jean-Claude Samouiller, head of AI France said that the ban on all protest demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people in France constitutes a very serious and disproportionate assault on the right to demonstrate.  The AI chief said that no one can impose ban on the right to peaceful protest support for the rights of the Palestinians.
