JEDDAH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister for Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
According to the SPA, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the urgent, open-ended extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the OIC.

The SPA maintained that the two top diplomats discussed the ongoing military escalation in Gaza and its surroundings, where Saudi Minister for Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal stressed during the meeting that Saudi Arabia is making possible efforts to communicate with all global and regional parties to stop the current escalation, affirming the KSA’s position rejecting targeting civilian population in any way and taking innocent people lives, in addition to the need of observing the principles of global humanitarian law.

Saudi Minister for Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s firm position towards supporting the Palestinian cause and efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace that guarantees the Palestinian people obtaining their legal rights, the SPA added.
