RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister for Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has received a phone call from the French Minister of the Armed Forces, Sebastien Lecornu, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

According to the SPA, during the telephonic conversation, the two sides reviewed the bilateral ties, the existing cooperation in defense sectors, discussed joint coordination about regional matters, and the efforts aimed at de-escalation in the region.

The SPA added the two Ministers also discussed the developments in Gaza and its surroundings, as well as global efforts related to them.
The Saudi Defense Minister highlighted the necessity of ceasing military operations, protecting civilian populations, and upholding global humanitarian law, the SPA maintained.

The Saudi Defense Minister also stressed the significance of working to find solutions for the restoration of stability in the region and the re-initiation of the peace process, enabling the Palestinians to obtain their legal rights.
