Ambassador Senol Highlights Strong Ties Between Pakistan and Northern Cyprus

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad chapter of the English-speaking Union of Pakistan organized a special talk featuring Ambassador Dilsad Senol of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. 

Distinguished guests, including Khalid Malik, the President of the English-Speaking Union, and other prominent members, attended the event.

During her address, Ambassador Dilsad Senol underscored the profound and enduring friendship shared between Pakistan and Turkey and between Pakistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

She emphasized the growing economic ties between Pakistan and Northern Cyprus, highlighting the substantial increase in trade volume between the two countries. Moreover, Ambassador Senol pointed out that there are more than 10,000 Pakistani residents in Northern Cyprus, a significant number of whom are students. She expressed her commitment to further strengthening the bonds between the two nations during her tenure.

The event also saw the presence of the Ambassador of Turkey, Abe Hamid Pachachi, who graced the occasion with his esteemed presence. Diplomats, security experts, representatives from various social and corporate sectors, as well as other distinguished individuals attended the event. 

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity, Ambassador Dilsad Senol acknowledged the honor of addressing a gathering of Islamabad’s intellectual elite.

She marveled at the keen interest and enthusiasm displayed by the attendees regarding the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, where a sense of belonging and camaraderie prevails.

Khalid Malik, the President of the English-speaking Union, highlighted the excellent relations that Pakistan maintains with Turkey and Northern Cyprus. He emphasized the proximity and interconnectedness between Turkey and Northern Cyprus and the desire to demonstrate solidarity with both nations and their people.

Khalid Malik further noted the substantial presence of approximately 10,000 Pakistani students studying in Northern Cyprus. He also pointed out the significant growth in trade between the two countries.
