Wasi Shah Appointed Special Assistant to PM on Youth Affairs

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s State Minister for Tourism, Wasi Shah, has been appointed as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs due to his outstanding performance in the tourism ministry.

The decision was made on the directives of Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq, as announced in a news release issued on Thursday.

Wasi Shah will continue to oversee the affairs of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC).

Wasi Shah, a highly popular poet among the youth, is recognized not only in Pakistan but throughout the Urdu-speaking world as a poet who resonates with the hearts of young people.

In response to his new role, Wasi Shah emphasized the importance of the youth, considering them a valuable asset, as a significant portion of the country’s population consists of young individuals.

He acknowledged the vital role that youth play in the development and prosperity of the nation and expressed his determination to meet the expectations of the Prime Minister, who is dedicated to uplifting the youth.
