RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has made a phone call with his Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

According to the SPA, during the telephone call, Prince Faisal lauded Beijing’s support for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) resolution issued on Friday, October 27. The SPA stated that the UNGA resolution calls for an urgent truce and establishing an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip.

They also discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings amid the ongoing military escalation and the harm to innocent civilians, the SPA added. The two sides also emphasized the significance of the world taking responsibility for halting all military activities and returning to a just and comprehensive path to peace for the Palestinians to achieve security and peace, the SPA maintained.

The SPA further maintained that the two sides also discussed bilateral ties and means to enhance them to serve the aspirations of the two nations, in addition to discussing matter of common interest.
