ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, has issued a heartfelt plea to the United Nations and international human rights organizations to acknowledge the recent surge in violence and other atrocities committed by Indian troops in the Kashmir valley.

In a conversation with Kashmir Media Service, SAPM Mullick expressed her deep concern over the killing of innocent Kashmiri youth at the hands of Indian troops. She emphasized that the occupied territory has been transformed into a slaughterhouse, where Kashmiris are brutally and indiscriminately killed, their lives cut short in a relentless wave of violence.

Mullick also paid glowing tributes to the Hurriyat leaders and activists, acknowledging their unwavering sacrifices in the struggle for the freedom of Kashmir. Many of these individuals endure the hardships of imprisonment, separated from their families, and some are even battling fatal diseases without access to adequate medical facilities.

She stressed that the international community bears a significant responsibility in alleviating the suffering of the Kashmiri people and supporting their fundamental right to self-determination. Pakistan is actively raising awareness about India’s state-sponsored terrorism, especially in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, on international platforms.

Responding to a question, she encouraged the young population on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) to utilize social media platforms to shed light on the mistreatment of minorities in India and the involvement of Indian forces in state-sponsored terrorism in Kashmir.

Mullick emphasized that the world’s major powers have a crucial role to play in exerting pressure on India to resolve the longstanding issue of Kashmir, contributing to regional peace and stability. It is a call for international action to address the ongoing human rights violations and violence in the region.
