President, Prime Minister Pay Tribute to Allama Iqbal on His 146th Birth Anniversary

ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar have come together to pay heartfelt tributes to the great philosopher poet, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, on the occasion of his 146th birth anniversary. In their separate messages, they have celebrated the life and contributions of a visionary who played a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of the Muslim population of the subcontinent.

Dr. Allama Iqbal, known as the Poet of the East, was born on November 9, 1877, in Sialkot. His ideas and poetry have had a profound impact on the Muslim community, igniting a spirit of unity and a longing for self-respect and human dignity. Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, hails Allama Iqbal as a beacon of light for humanity. In his message on the 146th birth anniversary of the national poet, he underlines how Iqbal’s teachings inspire the younger generation to carve their own path rather than relying on others. Iqbal’s passionate message of “Khudi” motivated individuals to awaken from their slumber and embrace their true identity.
