ISLAMABAD: The 2023 Global Korea Scholarships Reunion was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea here on Friday.
Among the attendees of the 2023 GKS Reunion were Park Kijun, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Kashif Jehan, the Director for Scholarships at the Higher Education Commission, Mr. Ahtisham Hussain, the Head of the Department of Korean Language and Culture, and the GKS alumni.
During the event, GKS alumni shared their enriching experiences in Korea and highlighted how their studies there played a significant role in shaping their careers. Following the insightful presentations by the alumni, H.E. Mr. Park Kijun expressed his appreciation for each student. He underscored the importance of cultural and educational exchanges between the Republic of Korea and Pakistan, emphasizing their role as a crucial element in fostering stronger bilateral relations and facilitating people-to-people interaction between the two nations.
Furthermore, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea conveyed his optimism regarding the future of the Global Korea Scholarships program. He discussed how it will continue to contribute to the enhancement of bilateral relations between the Republic of Korea and Pakistan, foreseeing a positive impact on the ongoing collaboration between the two countries.
