SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: Senior APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, currently incarcerated in New Delhi’s Tihar jail, has emphasized the interconnectedness of peace in South Asia and the Middle East with the resolution of the Kashmir and Palestine issues.

Shah, in his message, urged world leaders to play a crucial role in putting an end to the Israeli aggression and genocide unfolding in the Gaza Strip against Palestinians.

The APHC leader described the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza as a significant challenge to the world’s conscience and called for influential governments worldwide to abandon their policy of indifference. Shah stressed the urgent need for these governments to intervene and prevent further slaughter of innocent Palestinians, highlighting that allowing Israel to continue its brutal assault would result in a grave human tragedy.

He called on the international community, especially Muslim countries, to take concrete steps to bring an end to Israel’s siege of Gaza. Shah warned that inaction on the part of the global community would essentially grant Israel a free license to perpetrate violence against the Palestinians. Characterizing Israel’s aggression as a blatant violation of international law, he expressed deep concern about the unprecedented levels of barbarism and brutality exhibited by the Zionist regime.

Drawing parallels between the Palestinian and Kashmir issues, Shabbir Ahmed Shah pointed out that both populations have endured significant suffering under colonizers. He underscored the inextricable link between the resolution of these longstanding issues and achieving peace in South Asia and the Middle East. Shah’s impassioned plea from Tihar jail adds to the growing global calls for immediate intervention to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
