ISLAMABAD: The Ethiopian Embassy in Pakistan on Friday unveiled the book titled “Medemer Generation,” written by Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The book encapsulates an idea, philosophy, and framework for nation-building through the synergy and alignment of all resources.
The ceremony, held at the Embassy of Ethiopia in Islamabad, was graced by Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, Federal Secretary for the Federal Education Ministry, as the chief guest. He, alongside Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia, Jemal Beker Abdula, unveiled the book in the presence of politicians, government officials, parliamentarians, diplomatic communities, media, and civil society representatives from Pakistan.
Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula elaborated on the Medemer Philosophy of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, a Nobel Prize Winner, champion of green legacy, and advocate for regional integration and pan-Africanism. The Ambassador highlighted Dr. Abiy Ahmed’s successful implementation of the Medemer vision, emphasizing “interdependence and togetherness—a way of life that emphasizes collaboration, cooperation, and unity.”
He lauded Ethiopia’s visionary leader and prolific writer, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, who has authored three books outlining a holistic recipe for building a better and stronger generation. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of inter-generational connectivity, paving the way for ideal and resilient nations.
Ethiopian Embassy in Pakistan Result of Foreign Policy Reforms
The Ambassador celebrated Ethiopia’s progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, saying the establishment of the Ethiopian Embassy in Pakistan was the result of Ethiopia’s foreign policy reforms, which prioritize Pakistan for its geopolitical importance, economic potential, geographical location, and diverse culture.
Federal Secretary for Education, Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, commended the positive change brought by Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed in Ethiopia. He highlighted the significance of the Medemer philosophy in addressing challenges and harnessing the potential for building a strong and vibrant nation.
President of the Africa-Pakistan Association, Zafar Bakhtawari, emphasized the transformative outcomes of the Medemer philosophy during his visit to Ethiopia, praising Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed’s global popularity and commitment to leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
