ISLAMABAD: Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid has arrived in Islamabad for a four-day visit aimed at strengthening the close ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Federal Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Federal Minister for Education Madad Ali Sindhi, Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, and other prominent figures welcomed upon his arrival.
As part of his itinerary, Imam-e-Kaaba is scheduled to lead the Friday Prayer at the iconic Faisal Mosque, a momentous occasion eagerly awaited by the local Muslim community.
Moreover, he is expected to hold meetings with key figures, including the President, Prime Minister, Chief of Army Staff, and other high-ranking officials.
Speaking to APP, Ashrafi, who also serves as the Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Pakistani Diaspora in the Middle East and Muslim Countries, highlighted the widespread anticipation surrounding Imam-e-Kaaba’s visit.
He underscored the importance of this spiritual and diplomatic engagement, expressing confidence that the visit would contribute to the promotion of peace, unity, and the shared values of the two nations.
