DUBAI: The UAE federal government employees will enjoy a three-day weekend in the celebration of the upcoming UAE’s 52nd National Day.
According to a statement posted on its social media accounts, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources said the employees would be given leave from Saturday (December 2) to Monday (December 4).
The body said work will resume on Tuesday, December 5. Friday, December 1 will be a remote working day for workers of ministries and federal entities, it said.
National Day falls on December 2nd each year, so this year it will be marked on Saturday.
The UAE also announced on Wednesday that December 2nd and 3rd will be a paid public holiday for private sector workers on the occasion of the 52nd National Day.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization conveyed this information on the social media platform X, extending heartfelt congratulations to the wise leadership, citizens, and residents of the UAE on this special occasion.
The UAE revealed its official 2024 holiday calendar for both government and private sector employees. The confirmed list includes
January 1: New Year’s Day
April 8-12: Eid al-Fitr
June 15: Arafa Day
June 16-18: Eid al-Adha
July 7: Islamic New Year
September 15: Prophet Mohammed’s birthday
