ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir reiterated the Pakistan Army’s full support for the government’s efforts towards the sustainable economic recovery of the country.
The Army Chief expressed these views during a meeting of the Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), presided over by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar. The meeting assessed the initiatives undertaken by the council to encourage investment in the country.
Federal ministers, caretaker chief ministers, and senior government officials attended the meeting.
During the meeting, various ministries presented briefings on the measures they are implementing to ensure the timely realization of set targets. The meeting expressed contentment with the progress achieved in this regard.
Moreover, the participants scrutinized projects related to investment in the oil and gas sectors, as well as the privatization of public entities facing financial losses.
A special session of Apex Committee, SIFC was held today, to foster strategic partnerships with friendly countries.
The meeting was chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and attended by Chief of Army Staff, ministers and high level government officials.
