RIYADH: Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received a phone call from the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol on winning bid to host World Expo 2030 in Riyadh, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
According to the SPA, during the call, the President of the Republic of Korea congratulated the Crown Prince on Saudi Arabia’s winning bid to host and organize the World Expo 2030.

The Crown Prince, thanked the president for his congratulations.
The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) has designated Saudi Arabia as the host for this global event, scheduled to be held from October 2030 until March 2031.
Saudi Arabia’s bid received 119 votes from member countries. Busan, in the Republic of Korea, and Rome, in Italy were two other cities those competed alongside Riyadh.
