JERUSALEM: Israel’s National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, hit back at the United States over its condemnation of his proposal for the relocation of Gaza residents out of the Palestinian territory.

Reacting to the US remarks, Ben-Gvir said that while the United States is considered a crucial ally, Israel’s primary commitment is to safeguard the State of Israel.

He argued that facilitating the migration of hundreds of thousands from Gaza would enable residents in the Israeli vicinity to return home, ensuring their security and providing protection for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

The far-right minister made these statements in a post on X late Tuesday.
