ABU DHABI: The UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan has arrived in Baku for an official visit to Azerbaijan, the Emirates News Agency reported on Monday.
The UAE leader is carrying out the visit on the invitation of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.
Soon after arrival Sheikh Mohamed visited the tomb of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern Azerbaijan, and the Martyrs’ Lane where he laid down wreaths.

Several senior Emirati officials, including Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan are accompanying the UAE president.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also attended a dinner hosted by President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in his honor and the accompanying delegation.
