Pakistan: KSrelief Completes Distribution of 9,200 Food Packages in Sindh

KARACHI: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) completed the distribution of 9,200 food packages across four districts of Sindh, the aid agency said on Tuesday. In an unwavering commitment to address the pressing nutritional needs of the residents of Sindh, (KSrelief) has initiated the distribution of 9,200 essential food packages across four districts – Tharparker, Badin, Matiari, and Jamshoro, the statement added.

Each package, weighing 95 kg, contains essential food items to support a family for an entire month, the aid agency said. The contents compromise 80kg of flour, 5 litres of cooking oil, 5kg of sugar, and 5kg of Daal Chana.

Around 64,400 individuals across these four districts will be benefitting with this humanitarian effort, KSrelief said. According to the press release of KSrelief, the project is being executed with collaboration with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Sindh, UNOCHA Sindh, local governments, and implemented through the coordinated efforts of KSrelief and its partner organization Hayat Foundation.

This distribution will highlight KSrelief’s dedication to extending assistance to the most vulnerable populations in these districts. This endeavour is a crucial part of the 3rd phase of the KSrelief Food Security Support Project for Pakistan (2023-2024) and aims to provide vital nutrition to families in need.
