Colorful ice-snow activities have greatly enriched winter tourism in far-flung regions of northeast Chinese provinces, presenting fairy-like landscape and signature winter sports like snow-field motorbike, and horse-drawn sledge.

Provinces in northeast China leverage their rich ice and snow resources to improve winter entertainment venues and facilities, unleashing new economic development potential with winter tourism.

Snow makes the Changbai Mountain Xueling Scenic Area a fairyland under the golden sunshine, mingling perfectly with the silvery landscape. Tourists can enjoy distant view of the undulating mountains and forests of the Changbai Mountain.

The scenic area prepared different ways for tourists to visit around the area like snow-field motorbike and horse-drawn sledge. Tourists can take photos with and feed reindeer to get in touch with the lovely animals closely and learn about the culture of the ethnic minority.

Rime scenery, formed by cooling temperature and river mist, in Jilin City has been drawing flocks of tourists as well.

Cities in northeast China’s Liaoning Province also organized unique activities with different themes, combining ice-snow resources, local culture and custom and sports, offering tourists opportunities to know about local life and enjoy the winter sports.

Daomeng Town in Shenyang City held an ice-snow sports meeting, with athletes being local villagers. People experienced tug-of-war on snow, skating and ice carting in the event, highlighting the regional characteristics of Liaoning.

“We participate in the event in our village every year. We are jubilant and happy. Welcome all of you to come to our town and enjoy the winter enchantment in the new year,” said Jiang Qi, first secretary of Daguliu Village. (AMSP.Link , CGTN)
