Cricket: Major Set Back for India Ahead of Test Series Against England

NEW DEHLI: Indian fast bowler, Mohammed Shami will miss the first two Test matches against England at home as he continues his recovery from injury.

Shami, a key player who has been out of action since the ODI World Cup final in November, also missed the recent series against South Africa despite being initially included in the squad.

He recently informed the local media that his rehabilitation is going well, expressed hope about a potential return during the series.

Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel will lead the bowling attack on spin-friendly pitches alongside Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin. The squad for the series was unveiled late on Friday. The Test series, consisting of five matches, kicks off in Hyderabad on January 25, with the final match scheduled to begin on March 7 in Dharamsala.
