KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori approved the Registration (Sindh Amendment) Ordinance, 2024, through which people could get their property registered with the revenue office online.

According to the governor’s spokesperson, people will now be able to submit applications or documents to register their property to the tax office whether they are at home or anywhere else. Documents submitted for registration will be verified online from the database.

After the documents have been verified, the applicant will be notified via SMS or email about the payment of the fee or tax.

Kamran Khan Tessori signed the order and it immediately came into force throughout the province. The Governor passed the ordinance under the powers vested in him under Article 128(1) of the Constitution of Pakistan.

Earlier on January 28, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori had announced that he would bear the Hajj and Umrah acreage to persons above 75 years of age who have not performed the holy pilgrimage in their lifetime.

Speaking to the media after visiting the Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad, the Sindh Governor said that those elderly people who want to perform Hajj and Umrah can register at the Governor House.

The selected people will be sent to the holy mosques after balloting, he announced.
